Hi, I’m John Mudd. Thanks for visiting.
I am fortunate to live in beautiful western Montana. My family settled here in the 1880s and its been my home most of my adult life.
For nearly twenty years, I’ve worked in and around the legal profession. I’ve practiced in firms and I started and operated my own successful practice representing Montana businesses and individuals. I’ve served as Executive Counsel and a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Montana State Auditor, Secretary of the Montana Senate, directed development efforts for the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana and I presently serve as the Executive Director of the State Bar of Montana.
Thinking, writing and presenting about law, professionalism, ethics and work-life balance has been a longtime passion of mine. This blog represents an extension of that work.
Whether you are a law student, a practicing attorney, a “recovering” attorney, or just someone interested in living life to its fullest, welcome. I hope that you find something here that will improve your own life.
Stay in touch.
All the best,
John
